Questions used in our Focus Group

Hello, just a few questions for you guys on our music video, okay:


1) From your first viewing, what category of genre would you put the film into?

2) Does the film meet your expectations of a rock genre music video?

3) If yes, why do you think this?
If no, why do you think this?

4) Within the music video, what features stand out to you typical of this genre?

5) Do you think the narrative of the music video went with the genre well?

6) Was the narrative easy to follow?
If no, what improvements could be made?

7) If you had to put this music video into an age bracket what would it be, what ages do you think the video is aimed at?
Why do you think this?

8) Are the actors/characters within the music video, represented to suit the video and represented fairly?

9) Do you think there was a variety of shots, did the composition of the camera and movement keep you interested?

10) If this music video was to air on a music channel on T.V, would the introduction of the video be engaging enough for you to want to keep watching?

11) Do you think the music video would be suitable for all ages, the young and older viewers?
(including the end of the film!)

12) Would this music video inspire you to create your own music video, whether that be a similar genre to this or another genre + ideas of your own kind?

13) Did you feel that the timing and the synchronisation of this video was adequate and well produced? On a scale of 1-10 (1 being the worst, 10 being the best) where abouts would you place our video in terms of it's success?

14)Did you feel that the Mise-en-scene, props, lighting, costume etc fulfilled the aims of the music video?
